Hyundai has extended the waiting period for the Creta Facelift up to 5 months due to high demand, just a few days after its launch. Even before the facelift, the Creta faced long waiting periods due to its popularity, which is evident when 4 out of 7 SUVs you spot on the road is a Creta. Jokes aside, the updated Creta which is priced at Rs 11 – 20 lakh has 19 variants for buyers to choose from.
Hyundai Creta Facelift Waiting Periods – Powertrain-wise
The 2024 Creta’s minimum waiting period range is 3-4 months. This applies to the 115hp, 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine with a 6-speed manual and CVT and the new 160hp, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol powerplant that has a 7-speed dual-clutch.
What will really take time to arrive is the Diesel variant of the new Creta which is powered by a 116hp, 1.5-litre unit paired with 6-speed manual and torque convertor gearbox options. The waiting period for the Creta Diesel is 4-5 months.
Hyundai Creta Facelift Variants – A Fun Fact
Following the current trend in the automobile industry, the top-spec is the most popular variant of the new Creta and hence has a higher demand. The SUV currently offers 7 trims, out of which the top-spec S(O) seems to prefer both the automatic and manual transmissions.
Compared to that, the mid-spec S variant is only available in 1.5 petrol units with only manual form, hence lack of transmission options makes it the least favoured. Indeed a clever strategy by Hyundai to boost the sales of the top variant of the Creta which comes in the price range of Rs 17.24 lakh – Rs 20 lakh.
