Maruti Suzuki Jimny, the popular 4X4 off-roader is no doubt a capable machine despite its small boxy looks when compared to its competitors. And this fine machine is now on offer where some dealerships will be offering cash discounts of Rs 50,000 and an exchange bonus worth Rs 50,000 for the Zeta variant while the top-spec Alpha trim gets only an exchange bonus worth Rs 20,000.
It’s less compared to last month when some Maruti Suzuki dealers were offering benefits of up to Rs 1.32 lakh which included a dealer-specific bonus on the Jimny.
Let’s talk about Jimny a bit
The Jimny which is essentially a modern take on the iconic Suzuki Sierra is just like mentioned above is a capable machine when it comes to moving in rocky terrain. It might look small in front of its competitors like the Thar, but this vehicle has a proven history of being a rugged 4X4 machine and let us be honest here, its boxy and compact looks are quite refreshing, especially for Indian roads. And make no mistake, it is compact but it’s spacious enough to keep its occupants comfortable and definitely also suits better as a daily driver when compared to competitors. Also, the launch of its 5-door version, makes the Jimny more practical and robust.
Apart from that, the Jimny is powerful enough as it houses Maruti Suzuki’s older K15B 4-cylinder petrol unit that makes 105 hp and 134 Nm of torque. Also, this is a rather tried and tested engine powering several cars like the Ertiga, XL6, Vitara Brezza, S-cross and even Toyota’s Urban Cruiser, so expect it have Maruti’s incredible reliability and fuel efficiency.
The Maruti Suzuki is currently avaliable in the price range of Rs 14.70 – 17.33 lakh (on-road, Delhi), which makes this 4X4 compact off-roader Value for money.
