The 2024 Hyundai Ioniq 5 Facelift finally made its debut and it brings some pretty cool things to the table. Firstly the new N Line Version brings sporty attributes over the standard model but sits below the Ioniq 5 N variant. Let’s explore it in detail.
Hyundai Ioniq 5 Facelift Debut Highlights
For a long time, the Hyundai Ioniq 5 has satisfied many enthusiasts and buyers, courtesy of its neo-retro design coupled with minimalism and premium-ness for the price it is offered. This iconic design has been carried over to the 2024 facelift, although there are some microscopic differences in the design.
But continuing with the same design is not bad news at all, since the design looks timeless and is quite a head-turner when on the road. The exterior design at the front and rear bumpers will receive sporty treatment and instead of ORVMs, there will be cameras with respective screens on the inside.
Talking about the changes, there will be a length increase of 20 mm. A 50 mm larger rear spoiler has also been added for increased aerodynamics. From the front, the bumper has been re-designed and gets a pull-bar-like element. The LED DRLs get a central LED as well.
Coming to the back, the rear bumper gets a similar treatment to the front and the car also gets new aerodynamic wheels for an extra bit of performance and coolness. Although the car might look like an i20 in photos, there is a lot more going around once you see it in real life.
From the inside, minor revisions have been done by Hyundai. The brand added a few physical buttons for frequently used buttons and repositioned the wireless charging pod for convenience. Hyundai’s touch-sensitive panel for climate control features has also been revised.
The new Ioniq 5 facelift also gets an improved connected car Navigation Cockpit (ccNC) with OTA updates. The car also gets improvements in chassis rigidity and new safety features have also been added including a Hands-On Detection steering wheel, Lane Keeping Assist 2, Forward/Side/Reverse Parking Collision-Avoidance Assist, Front-lighting System, Digital Key 2, Built-In Cam 2 and more.
Last but definitely not least, the powertrain of the 2024 Hyundai Ioniq 5 Facelift gets a good update as well. The battery is now an 84 kWh unit, an upgrade from a 77.4 kWh unit, which increases the driving range as well. Hyundai India might bring the facelifted Ioniq 5 by the end of this year through the CKD route.
