The current Suzuki Swift for the Indian market features a 90 hp producing, 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder engine that also provides 113 Nm torque and is paired with either a 5-speed MT or a 5-speed AMT. The car is available in both CNG and petrol options.

Suzuki Swift 2024 – India Launch Timeline and Rivals

The car will officially debut in the Tokyo Motor Show which will take place later this year, so expect the next-gen Swift to hit the Indian market by early or mid-2024. The Swift will rival the likes of the Hyundai Grand i10 Nois and Tata Tiago.

The Swift has always been a popular choice among Indians due to its reliability, high mileage and sporty looks and though the Swift Sport is also another car that’s been desired here, the new-gen Swift seems to have the potential to fill the gap temporarily.

However, if launched with a higher-powered engine, the Swift can go up against the recently launched Hyundai i20 facelift, but only time will tell.
