The 2024 Skoda Octavia Facelift is all set to be revealed globally by Skoda Auto next month. The Czech carmaker has recently shared a teaser of the facelift ahead of its global debut. This facelift marks the 5th major update the Octavia will undergo and will be launched just months after the launch of the new Skoda Superb.
Skoda Octavia Facelift – Highlights
According to the teaser, the new Octavia will come with several updates, especially in the design. The face of the sedan will be updated with new V-shaped LED headlamps. It will also get a refreshed bumper and grille along with new alloy wheels and a refreshed LED taillight on the rear as well.
As for the interior, the Octavia facelift will likely include some new features such as a new 10-inch touchscreen infotainment and digital driver display, wireless connectivity with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and other changes are expected to be mostly cosmetic. Skoda is also likely to introduce Level 2 ADAS in the facelifted sedan.
The Skoda Octavia Facelift is also expected to feature a new hybrid powertrain option. Currently, the sedan is offered with 3 engine options – a 2.0-litre diesel, a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol and a 1.4-litre plug-in hybrid. In India Skoda offered the petrol engine and with the facelift, the new Octavia might get a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol with hybrid powertrain and a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol with mild-hybrid.
Whether or not the new Octavia comes to India remains unknown for now. The 4th Gen Octavia was launched 5 years back and was discontinued recently due to the new Phase 2 of BS6 emission norms.
