There are two types of warranty, 3 years/ 100K kms (whichever comes first) which comes with models like Grand i10 Nios. There’s a warranty policy that applies to the warranty period of each and every Hyundai vehicle according to which the vehicle sold shall be free from any defects in material and workmanship. Under this policy, Hyundai’s authorized dealers shall repair or replace any Hyundai genuine part that is deemed by HMIL to be defective in workmanship or material within the warranty period at no cost to the owner of the vehicle.

The warranty policy offers peace of mind to new and current Hyundai owners. However, this warranty period has some limitations and is not covered in certain cases which includes normal maintenance other than the 3 free services like minor adjustments, cleaning, engine tuning and more. The warranty also does not cover damage from the negligence of proper maintenance, misuse/abuse or use of any parts not supplied or approved by HMIL.

Apart from the default complementary warranty period, Hyundai also offers extensive support to its new/current car owners in the form of service packages and benefits called the “Shield of Trust”. It is essentially a repair service package offered by the brand to ensure customers’ peace of mind. It includes replacement wear & tear parts, which can be bought along with a new car purchase or any time before 1st free service.

A note to Owners

Although Hyundai’s assistance is top-notch, owners should also take care of their cars to avoid making frequent rounds to service centres.
