Tata Punch EV has been launched in India after its reveal earlier this month with a starting price tag of Rs 10.99 lakh (ex-showroom) and is available in 5 variants. This new entry is the latest addition to Tata Motor’s all-electric Portfolio alongside the Nexon EV, Tiago EV and Tigor EV.
Tata Punch EV – Highlights
The Punch Ev continues with a similar design language as its ICE counterpart, however, it borrows a few elements from the Nexon EV including an LED light bar with a blocked grille and Split LED headlights with a vertical slat patterned grille. The wheels are also aero-designed alloys, similar to the Nexon EV. But unlike the Nexon EV, the charging flap of the Punch EV is at the front with a motorized mechanism.
In terms of features, the Punch EV packs a bigger punch than the ICE version. It includes features such as a fully digital instrument cluster, a large 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple Carplay, a twin-spoke steering with an illuminated Tata logo, automatic climate control, wireless charger, electronic parking brake, 6 airbags, 360-degree surround camera, a redesigned HVAC and more.
The EV has 3 variants – Smart, Smart+, Adventure, Empowered and Empowered+. Apart from this, the Tata Punch EV is available in 5 colour options – Empowered Red, Fearless Red, Seaweed, Daytona Grey and Pristine White.

As for the powertrain, the Tata Punch EV gets a single motor setup with 2 battery pack options – a 35kWh unit with 80hp and 114 of Torque and a 25kWh unit that produces 120hp and 190Nm of Torque. While the former has an ARAI-certified range of 421 km and will be offered in Long Range variants, the latter will be offered in the standard version with a 315km range.
