The Award-winning Kia EV6 is all set to get its mid-life update soon and prior to its global debut, Kia has started putting out the initial set of teasers to create hype. The EV6 facelift is coming almost 3 years after the original EV6 was revealed.
Similar to the updated Hyundai Ioniq 5, which is what EV6 is based on, the car will get minor tweaks in styling on the outside so it aligns well with the newer Kia EVs sold globally. So, expect a refreshed set of headlights with thinner LED graphics. The grille will have a more noticeable “tiger nose” look with likely a new front bumper as well.
Coming to the rear, the car will have minor changes as well. The taillight graphics are new and will not get vertical elements from its predecessor. The EV6 will also get a new rear bumper along with refreshed designs for the alloy wheels.
On the inside, you can expect a whole tech buffet with a revised infotainment system, a new-look steering wheel and new colour schemes for the interior upholstery. Apart from that, there will also be some tweaks to its ADAS suite with new updates, more safety features and more additions in tech.
The refreshed EV6 will likely sport the new 84 kWh battery pack that debuted on the Ioniq 5 and will help improve its driving range. The single and dual-motor powertrains will likely be retained including the one in the flagship Kia EV6 GT. Expect Kia to EV6 to go live first in Korea, followed by other markets.
