Royal Enfield reportedly has 6 new models in line for launch in this financial year. The first motorbike to launch is the Guerrilla 450 which is scheduled for launch sometime between July to September 2024. This 450cc is a minimalistic modern-retro roadster similar to the Hunter 350.
The Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 has been spied during its test runs both in India as well as out of India and has a very clean, neo-retro roadster design which is very eye-catching. Key elements include a teardrop-shaped fuel tank, a single-piece seat and a slim tail section. Just like the Himalayan 450, the Guerrilla 450 will have its tail light integrated into the turn indicators.
The engine will be borrowed from the Himalayan and will likely generate similar output, that is, 40 hp and 40 Nm of Torque. The difference between the Guerrilla and its adventure sibling lies in the suspension part, where the roadster uses a simple telescopic fork while the latter uses a USD unit. The roadster also gets tubeless alloy wheels, unlike the wire-spoke ones on the Himalayan.
What remains to be seen is whether the Guerrilla 450 sports the same Tripper TFT display as the Himalayan 450 or it uses a more old-school (but cool) semi-digital display from the Super Meteor 650. What’s obvious is that the Guerrilla gets an LED headlamp.
The Guerrilla 450 is expected to be priced somewhere around Rs 2.40 – Rs 2.60 Lakh range (ex-showroom). Considering this, upon its launch, the bike will go up against the popular Triumph Speed 400, Honda CB300R and Husqvarna Svartpilen 401.
