Royal Enfield Classic 650 Twin to launch on March 27

Royal Enfield is gearing up to launch its most-awaited Royal Enfield Classic 650 Twin on March 27, 2025. The Classic 650 Twin will be the newbie in the brand’s diverse and growing 650cc lineup which consists of bikes like the Continental GT 650, Interceptor 650, bear 650, Super Meteor 650 and Shotgun 650.

Royal Enfield Classic 650 Twin: Design & Features

The upcoming Classic 650’s styling will be inspired by its smaller and more popular sibling, the classic 350. Other key components like the main frame, subframe and swingarm are shared with the Shotgun 650. It retains the brand’s iconic old-school styling with a round LED headlight, a teardrop-shaped fuel tank and a large analogue instrument cluster with a tripper meter.

The bike will be available in 4 colour options: Teal, Black Chrome, Vallam Red and Bruntingthorpe Blue. It rides on 19-inch front and 18-inch rear wire-spoked wheels, wrapped in MRF tyres. The styling is further enhanced by RE’s signature twin chrome exhausts and a wide rear fender. This classic went to the gym and weighs 243 kilos which makes it the heaviest motorcyle in Royal Enfield’s portfolio.

Royal Enfield Classic 650 Twin: Powertrain & Other Components

The Classic 650 Twin is powered by a 647cc, air/oil-cooled parallel-twin engine that churns out 46.4 bhp at 7,250 RPM and 52.3 Nm of Torque at 5,650 RPM. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox that also gets a slip and assist clutch for those smooth-as-butter gear shifts.

Suspension is handed by a 43mm front telescopic forks by Showa and twin shock absorbers at the rear while the braking is taken care of by disc brakes at both ends supported by dual-channel ABS which will a standard feature in the bike.

Royal Enfield Classic 650 Twin: Expected Price

The Classic 650 Twin will enter RE’s crowded 650cc segment and will be positioned between the Continental GT 650 and Shotgun 650 since it offers a mix of both classic design and performance. Although the price has not yet been revealed, it is expected to be somewhere between Rs 3.2 Lakh and Rs 3.5 Lakh (ex-showroom).
