New Triumph Trident 660 Special Edition Revealed

Triumph has recently revealed a special edition of the Trident 660, dubbed the “Trident Triple Tribute” with a unique paint scheme and some extra attachments on offer too. This special edition Trident 660 pays tribute to the “Slippery Sam” race bike which has multiple wins under its belt at the Isle of Man TT in the 1970s.

Knowing how dangerous the track of Isle of Man TT is, it’s quite a feat and makes the homage more prominent and needed. The tribute gets a distinct white and metallic blue paint job with streaks of red. It also sports the number 67 graphic on top of the tank and on the sides as well. The colour scheme is further complemented by a flyscreen and belly pan, which are colour-matched, making it different from the standard model.

The special edition also gets a few extra features such as two new riding modes – Road and Rain and adjustable Traction control which are all accessible through the colour TFT instrument cluster. Other features include all LED lighting, turn-by-turn navigation and auto-cancelling indicators as well.

The powertrain of the Tident special edition remains unchanged and continues to be powered by the same 660cc, liquid-cooled, inline 3-cylinder engine that produces 81 hp and 64 Nm of Torque and features a bidirectional quickshifter as standard. In India, currently, the Triumph Trident 660 is the most accessible motorcycle by Triumph India.
