The bike is powered by a 399 cc, liquid-cooled, inline-four engine generating 77 hp at 14,500 RPM and 39 Nm of Torque at 13,000 RPM, making it an ideal machine to rev around streets on weekends. With RAM air, the peak power increases to 80 hp.

The frame used on the Ninja ZX-4RR is the same as the standard 4R, although the suspension is very much different. The fork supports preload adjustability and the monoshock is fully adjustable. The 4RR also gets the bidirectional quickshifter, which is optional on the ZX-4R. Also, design-wise the ZX-4RR’s design and styling is similar to the 4R, it comes wrapped in the iconic Kawasaki Racing Green colour scheme.

The features are shared between both the small-capacity ZX models and include 4 riding modes – Sport, Road, Rain and Rider. Each of these power modes adjusts settings like the traction control and ABS intervention accordingly.

At Rs 9.10 Lakh, the Kawasaki ZX-4RR is priced at Rs 61,000 which is already pricier than the ZX-4R. Both bikes come to India as CBUs, hence the high price. In fact, the ZX-4RR costs only Rs 28,000 less than the much larger Z900.

There are no direct rivals to the ZX-4RR as of now with the closest one being the Triumph Daytona 660, which has been listed on Triumph’s Indian website, but hasn’t gone live yet.
