Hero recently unveiled a bunch of new ICE and EV products at EICMA 2023. But the most eye-catching of them was the aggressive-looking bright red 2.5 XTunt Concept motorcycle which is very much likely to give birth to a new naked 250 cc streetfighter.
Hero 2.5XTunt Concept – Highlights
The main talking point of this concept bike is the new liquid-cooled, 250 cc, single-cylinder engine that has a modern DOHC setup. Expect this motor to sit between the 210 cc unit of Hero Karizma XMR that produces 25.5 hp and the upcoming 250 Duke that makes 31 hp.
As for the styling, the design is very futuristic and aggressive with lots of aerodynamic elements which is common among concepts. It also features premium components such as billet-machines foot pegs, a single Brembo M50 monoblock caliper, slick tyres and a golden USD fork. Hero also claims that there are cutting-edge features like active-aero tech and a follow me drone to capture all your riding on the go to add to the bike’s futuristic appearance.
Also, the front of the bike looks very menacing, especially with the shape of the highlights, likely LED, which will stare at your soul at night (Imagine the bikes during rain). The way the bike looks and the power it makes will make sure you glide through the urban jungle with pinpoint accuracy.
Now, the production-spec bike may only borrow the USD forks and the suspension setup from the concept along with its flamboyant looks, which if Hero pulls off will might just be one of the most stylish bikes in the segment.
A 250 cc bike coming to reality from this concept is possible and has a higher chance of happening since Hero once showcased the 1.6R concept at the 2016 Auto Expo which turned into the road-ready Xtreme 160R. Also, every faired bike has its own naked version such as the Gixxer lineup so it is only fair the all-new Karizma XMR also has one.
One thing is for sure, this bike seems to be very much tailored for the next generation of riders who demand a solid combination of style, performance and the trill of urban riding.
