The Brabus 1300 R masterpiece edition has been unveiled and it’s stunning. The brand’s latest creation is a limited edition and is based on the KTM 1290 Super Duke R Evo, this is the third time the company has come out with a motorcycle, based on the KTM 1290.
Now Brabus is a pretty famous brand among enthusiasts, but for those of you who don’t know, Brabus is a German-based car tuning company and they are very popular for their modified Mercedes-Benz vehicles.
Brabus 1300 R masterpiece edition: Design
Brabus’s vehicle designs are very tactical, yet maintain a sense of style. This motorcycle follows the same design language and is very different from the 1290 Super Duke’s styling, the bike it’s based on. The motorbike features a very muscular and edgy design which might look like a bike the main character of a cyberpunk dystopian film would ride.
The bike features carbon fibre side fairing with larger winglets, a round LED headlamp, golden-shade rims, Brabus dual-pipe slip-on sport exhaust, seat and handlebar grip heating with cruise control and body panels with a carbon-fibre finish.
The design also features the signature stripes running along both the headlight mask and the tail cowl with an elegant finish in “Frozen Gold” to further show its exclusiveness.
Brabus 1300 R masterpiece edition: Specifications
The motorcycle is built on a trellis frame and has WP semi-active suspension on both ends. The suspension has six damping modes- Rain, sport, street, performance, Track and Advanced. Other than that, the suspension settings can be put in auto, where the bike will adjust according to the road conditions or the rider can just manually adjust it according to their preferences.
The motorbike has a seat height of 845 mm, a 16L fuel tank and a dry weight of 194 Kg.
The bike also sports 17-inch Brabus Monoblock Z forged wheels and the braking department is handled by a Brembo Stylema 4-piston disc at the front and a 2-piston disc setup at the rear.
Brabus 1300 R masterpiece edition: Performance
The Brabus 1300 R masterpiece edition is powered by the same KTM 1290 Super Duke R Evo’s 1301 cc V-Twin engine that produces a massive 180 hp at 9,500 RPM and 140 Nm of torque at 8000 RPM. If you are confused by the numbers, let me put it out in a simple way. The bike can do the 0 to 100 kph sprint in just 3.2 seconds and has a top speed of 270 kph.
So, the motorbike is not just a show, it’s also performance-oriented. Just like the suspension, the bike also has 6 modes: Rain, sport, street, performance, Track and Advanced.
Brabus 1300 R masterpiece edition: Colour options, Price and availability
The Motorbike will be available in two colours – Onyx Black and Diamond white and just like stated at the beginning, only 50 units of this bike will be sold, 25 units of each colour variant.
The asking price of the Masterpiece edition is EUR 41,930 which is approximately Rs 36 lakhs. That’s a lot of money, but it is understandable since only 50 units will be sold in the whole world.
