The upcoming Bajaj NS 400 has been recently spotted ahead of its official May 3 launch at a seemingly dealer yard. The spy shots of the biggest and most expensive pulsar yet reveal some of its interesting bits like the design and hardware details.
The Pulsar NS 400’s design looks as if the N 250 and NS 200 had a baby. This design is unique to the Pulsar 400 and it gets LED DRLs like the NS and a centre-set projector like the N series. The front looks quite aggressive and muscular, which is a good thing although the design might not be everyone’s cup of tea.
The tank shrouds are also larger giving the bike a bigger and muscular aesthetics which is common for a street fighter. The chonky USD telescopic front fork finished in Gold further enhances the muscular appearance. The Pulsar NS 400 also gets an actual windshield unlike the N 250 whose dashboard has an integrated windshield.
Other elements that can be spotted include LED turn indicators, straight handlebars, handlebar risers for upright ergonomics and a number plate holder below its headlight.
Furthermore, there’s a radiator shroud as well which indicates that the upcoming Bajaj Pulsar NS 400 can possibly get a liquid-cooled engine, most likely the same one used by the Dominar 400. So, it will be the 373cc engine that generates 39.42 bhp and 35 Nm of Torque which is paired by a 6-speed gearbox. The bike might also get the newer 398cc engine but is very less likely since the upcoming Pulsar NS 400’s main highlight would be its price, which is expected to be under Rs 2 Lakhs.
Nonetheless, the Pulsar NS 400 will surely give quite a challenge to other high-performance single-cylinder bikes like the KTM 390 Duke, Triumph Speed 400, Hero Mavrick 440, TVS Apache RTR 310 R and BMW G 310 R.
