Aprilia Tuono 457 Naked Spied in Europe

Aprilia Tuono 457 has been recently spied on test runs in Europe. This upcoming bike belongs to Aprilia’s Tuono lineup and is the naked version of the Parallel-twin Supersport RS 457, which was unveiled in India 3 months ago.

Aprilia Tuono 457 – The Modern Retro Powerhouse

Judging from the spy shots, the Tuono 457 will feature a modern retro look with a flatter handlebar, neutral set footpegs and a one-piece saddle. The bike will also follow the Tuono DNA and will feature minimal use of body panels exposing the mechanicals. Now do note that although the test mule does feature a round headlamp, the final version might sport Aprilia’s signature headlamp.

RS 457 naked version

The Tuono 457 test mule sports a USD fork at the front and it appears a single shock absorber is mounted to a side of the swingarm, however, expect the production-ready version to feature a centrally mounted monoshock, similar to its faired sibling RS 457. The tail lamp is a twin-pod lamp with a split-type grab rail.

TUONO REAR

The braking department is handled by disc brakes at both ends with a 4-piston radial caliper for the front and a single-piston caliper at the rear. Apart from that, the Tuono 457 will likely weigh less than the RS 457 due to being a naked bike, meaning it will weigh less than 175 kerb weight and have an overall better power-to-weight ratio.

Current Aprilia RS and Tuono lineup

Although there’s no information regarding the launch dates and pricing of the upcoming Tuono 457, it is expected that Aprilia will announce them sometime before the end. Also, since the RS 457 is manufactured right here in India at Piaggio’s Baramati Plant, so there’s a high chance we will get the Aprilia Tuono 457 in our market as well.
