Hero Motocorp has recently rolled out the 2025 Hero Splendor Plus, which is the brand’s best-selling motorcycle in India. Alongside this bike, other models in the Splendor series, like the Splendor+ XTEC and Splendor+ XTEC 2.0, also got updated to MY25.

2025 Hero Splendor Plus: What’s new?
Hero just launched the updated Splendor+ lineup in India, which carries minor revisions over its preceding model. The bike now retails for Rs 79,096 (ex-showroom) for the Splendor+ Drum variant, while the Splendor+ i3s, i3s Black and Accent variants cost the same at Rs 80,066 (ex-showroom).
Going further, the Splendor+ XTEC Drum variant costs at Rs 82,751 (ex-showroom), Splendor XTEC Disc at Rs 86,051 (ex-showroom) and the Splendor XTEC 2.0 is priced at Rs 85,001 (ex-showroom). The price has been hiked between Rs 1,800 and Rs 2,500.

The MY25 version also gets new graphics on body panels to distinguish the new offerings from the older MY24 variants. Now, the Splendor+ is being offered with unique colours and graphics, depending on the variants. Some variants even get a rear luggage rack for utilities and more sophisticated rear pillion grab rails.
As for the design, Hero has made no changes to the body, which remains a retro-modern bare-bones bike with a square headlight and slim body. The design has aged like fine wine over the years, despite remaining unchanged since its launch, proving that sometimes things should be left as they are.
Moving on to the main change of the bike, which is in the powertrain of the bike. Although the engine is the same 97.2 cc single-cylinder, air-cooled SOHC 2V motor that generates 7.91 bhp and 8.05 Nm of Torque, it is now OBD-2B compliant. This motor is paired with a 4-speed transmission.
Apart from this, there are certain modern features included in the bike depending on the variant, such as a front disc brake, LED Headlights and DRLS and a fully digital instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity and app support. These features certainly give this legendary commuter, which has been ruling Indian streets and fulfilling thousands of Indian dreams for years now, solid support to stand its ground against its more advanced rivals.
Where the Splendor’s strength lies is its simple, minimalistic design alongside its lightweight yet rugged body. The easy availability of spare parts, mileage, and low maintenance are also huge advantages of the bike.
