2025 Hero Passion Plus: New updates

Hero launched the new updated model of its commuter bike, the Passion Plus, after the brand was reportedly working on updating its other popular models – the 2025 Super Splendor and the Splendor Plus with OBD-2B compliant engine.

Now, the new Passion Plus has been launched at Rs 82,016 (ex-showroom) in the Indian market. The existing model of the bike was available in a single (i3S Drum Self Start Alloy) variant at a price of Rs 80,226.

The bike was previously offered in 4 colours – Black Grey Stripe, Black Heavy Grey, Sport Red and Black Nexus Blue. With the new model, the brand replaced the Black Grey Stripe and Sport Red colours with two new paint jobs – Sports Red Black and Bluish Teal, with new OBD-2B compliance.

In terms of features, the new Passion Plus has an integrated brake system (IBS), a mobile charging port, a telescopic front suspension, and even a utility box. There isn’t much going on here since the bike belongs to the entry-level commuter segment, so it’s quite bare bones.

As for the dimensions, the 2025 Hero Passion Plus is 1982 mm in length, 770 mm in width and 1087 mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 1235 mm while the ground clearance measures 168 mm. Built on a double cradle frame, the motorbike has a kerb weight of 115 kilos, which is quite light alongside an ample fuel tank capacity of 11 litres. The seat height is also quite low at 790 mm to accommodate riders of all sizes.

As for its heart, the bike is powered by the same 97.2 cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine with fuel-injection (FI) tech that is now OBD-2B compliant. The performance figures are expected to be roughly the same, with a 7.91 bhp at 8,000 RPM and 8.05 Nm at 6,000 RPM, respectively. The motor is paired with a 4-speed transmission and a wet multi-plate clutch.

While some new updates were expected, like a new instrument cluster at least, the price would have increased quite a lot more and given its affordable price and its specs, the Passion Plus is a no-nonsense entry-level commuter that is meant to just take you from point A to B.
