Triumph Launches Scrambler 400 XC in India

Triumph has launched the Scrambler 400 XC in India at Rs 2.94 Lakh (ex-showroom). It belongs to the same lineup as the Scrambler 400X, except the XC variant leans a bit more towards off-roading. Let’s check it out in detail.

Triumph Scrambler 400 XC Launched

Triumph launched the Scrambler 400 XC in India, which pays tribute to the brand’s scrambler history. It features an upright stance, sculpted tank, and high-mounted components which carry a very familiar style similar to that of its bigger scrambler siblings like the Scrambler 900 and 1200.

The 2025 Scrambler 400 XC looks like an actual scrambler with its upswept exhaust, hidden liquid-cooling setup, aluminium sump guard and stainless steel twin-skin headers.

What also sets the 400 XC apart from the regular Scrambler 400X is the 19-inch front and 17-inch rear cross-spoked wheels wrapped in dual-purpose tubeless tyres. The bike is suspended by a long-travel USD fork at the front and a monoshock at the rear, both offering 150 mm of travel.

Furthermore, hand-guards, raised mudguards, a windshield and engine bars are provided as standard equipment, while in terms of tech, Triumph has included off-road ABS, switchable traction control and full LED lighting setup. The instrument cluster is semi-digital, and other features like a USB charging port and key-based immobiliser are also provided.

Triumph also provides adjustable levers with the Scrambler 400 XC. The bike is available in 3 different paint jobs – Storm Grey, Vanilla White, and Racing Yellow, and all 3 bear the ‘Scrambler’ Badging. For further personalisation, customers also have the option of 20 genuine accessories to choose from.

The bike is powered by the 400cc single-cylinder TR-series FI engine that generates 40 PS of maximum power at 8,000 RPM and a peak torque output of 37.5 Nm at 6,500 RPM.

At the price of Rs 2,94,147 (ex-showroom, Delhi), the Triumph Scrambler 400 XC is positioned above the Scrambler 400 X, boasting a premium of around Rs 27,000. The lineup also features the Speed 400 which retails at Rs 2.46 Lakh (ex-showroom).
