Amongst these models, the Xpulse 210 and the Xtreme 250R were launched recently, while the new Karizma XMR 250 is likely to be launched within the next 2 to 3 months as part of expanding its lineup further. The Karizma XMR 250 takes its foundation from the XMR 210, bringing a more aggressive design with a sleeker body.

It has a split LED headlamp, integrated winglets, new body graphics, and air curtains on the sides. The bike is powered by a new 250cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine, producing 30 bhp max power and 25 Nm of peak torque. This motor is paired with a 6-speed transmission, featuring a slipper and assist clutch as standard.

The Hero Karizma XMR 250 comes with height-adjustable clip-on handlebars and a TFT fully digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity options and navigation facility. The sports bike is equipped with USD front forks and a preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear. Braking duties are taken care of by disc brakes at both ends, further supported by a dual-channel ABS system to ensure safe and reliable stopping power.

When launched, it will lock horns with the likes of Bajaj Pulsar RS 200, KTM RC 200 and Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 in India. Underpinned by a steel frame, the bike rides on 17-inch front and rear wheels wrapped in tubeless tyres. A few weeks ago, Hero Motocorp also commenced the bookings for the Xpulse 210 and Xtreme 250R in India, and their deliveries will begin soon.

Furthermore, the Xpulse 200 owners can avail a special offer by paying a refundable booking amount of just Rs 7,000. The new Xpulse 210’s top-end variant is priced at Rs 1.86 Lakh (ex-showroom). Meanwhile, the Xtreme 250R is available in 3 colour options and retails at a starting price of 1.80 Lakh (ex-showroom). Looking at the pricing and the overall feature-set of the bike, the likes of Yamaha R15 seem quite overpriced.

Hero overall rectified the flaws the Karizma XMR 210 had, added more style, sportiness, features and a better engine to the XMR 250, making it a more balanced and well-priced package which will give tough competition to its rivals.
