Triumph, the legacy motorcycle brand is expanding its single-cylinder lineup in collaboration with Bajaj Auto in India. The lineup currently includes the Speed 400, Scrambler 400X and Speed T4. A Scrambler version of the Speed T4 is also in the works as indicated by the test mules.

The name of the upcoming Triumph 400cc cafe racer is not year known, so it might be a part of either the Thruxton series or the Speed series or it might be a new series that the brand will debut with this bike. This is the closest the bike seems to be to production since the previous test mules had some kind of equipment or the Triumph branding is hidden.

The new spy shots show no such camo or test equipment and it even features the Triumph logo on the engine casing. As for the design, the upcoming Thruxton 400 cafe racer looks aesthetically pleasing with a retro charm and will be quite a new sight on Indian roads.

The front of the bike features a classic cafe racer-themed semi-fairing style with a round LED headlamp, complemented by the integrated flyscreen. The seat is a single-piece with a single-piece pillion grab rail as well.

The bike features a committed riding posture as we can see the rider leaning onto the clip-on handlebars and the footpegs are set slightly on the rear side too which is typical of a cafe racer. The test mule is fitted with bar-end mirrors which the brand will likely provide as standard equipment and not additional accessories.

The engine area gets a matte black finish with exposed rivets while the suspension seems to be handled by USD front forks, rear monoshock, 17-inch alloys with tubeless tyres and disc brakes at both sides with dual-channel ABS.
