Hero Karizma XMR to go up by Rs 7,000 on the introductory price announced in August. A month ago, the iconic Karizma made a spectacular comeback and the price was Rs 1,72,900 but Hero announced that from October 1, 2023, the price will be Rs 1,79,900, (ex-showroom).
Hero Karizma XMR: Updated Legend
The Sporty faired motorcycle has loads of features like an LCD panel with Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation support, adjustable windscreen, full-LED lighting, and more. The design is quite refreshed and looks like a more aggressive version of the Hero Xtreme 200S. Overall, once you take this bike to the road, you are bound to get the attention. The Karizma XMR comes in 3 shades: Turbo Red, Iconic Yellow and Matte Phantom Black.
The seating posture of this bike is neither upright nor fully sporty. This makes the long sides quite comfortable when compared to the R15 or RC 200. The seat height is 810mm which is okay for average-sized riders, but short people might face some discomfort.
Hero Karizma XMR: The iconic Powerhouse
Just like its predecessor, Hero did justice on the engine part with the new Karizma. It is powered by a 210cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder DOHC engine that produces a solid 25.5 hp and 20.4 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox and a slip-and-assist clutch.
The engine is settled inside a steel trellis frame, with a telescopic fork and a preload adjustable monoshock.
The XMR also sports 300mm and 240mm discs at the front and rear and also gets dual-channel ABS. (First Hero bike to get one) The motorcycle has a weight of 163.5 kg and while it’s 22 kg heavier than the R15, it’s quite agile and has good handling.
Hero Karizma XMR: A Value-for-money Ride
The pricing is still lower than most of its competitors like the KTM RC 200, Suzuki Gixxer SF 250, and Yamaha R15, and is very similar in pricing with the Pulsar RS 200. The Karizma XMR is also one of the fastest in the sub-250cc segment just like Hero wanted and delivers all the power you need for your daily rides. Speaking of daily rides, it’s quite comfortable for that too and it’s quite a head turner too since the design is quite refreshing among the existing bikes which people have seen a thousand times before.
So, is it worth the price hike? Yes. It provides a good package of looks, performance, brand value, reliability and a wide range of service networks.
