Yamaha Jog is one of the brand’s most affordable models and recently the scooter got the 2024 update which will be on sale in Japan on 19th March. The price of the new model is now 264K Yen, 9,000 yen more than the outgoing model.
The 2024 Yamaha Jog 125 has been updated with all the required features people will need for daily urban commutes. Let us Start off with the massive 21.3-litre under-seat storage space, which can easily fit a full-size helmet along with other small items.
At the front, there’s a dedicated small bottle holder along with a robust hook to take full advantage of the floorboard area. Riders can also install a USB charger if needed, which is available as an optional feature.
The overall design of the 2024 Jog 125 is also the same as the current model which looks cool and has a joyful vibe to it. The rectangular headlamp, vertically positioned DRLs and turn signals, long and wide seats, rear-view mirrors, sporty exhaust muffler and a robust grab rail.
The 2024 Jog gets two new colour options – Vivid Red Metallic 5 and Dull Blue Solid B. While the former red variant will picked by those who like to be eye-catching, the light blue represents elegance.
The scooter is also known and preferred for its compact profile which allows easy manoeuvrability across busy streets. With 1,740 mm length, 675 mm width 1,090 mm height and a light weight of just 95 kg. The wheelbase is 1,205 mm.
Powering the scooter is a 124cc, air-cooled, SOHC, 4-stroke, single cylinder that generates 8.3 PS of Max Power and 9.8 Nm of Peak Torque. The unit is mated to a V-belt type continuously variable speed transmission. The fuel economy is also pretty low at 51.9 Km/L as per WMTC.
