TVS Motor Company recently launched the updated 2025 Apache RTR 160 in India, which is the brand’s most affordable model and is one of the most popular models across the country. The company has updated its features to keep it fresh and competitive.

2025 TVS Apache RTR 160 Launched in India
Launched at Rs 1.34 Lakh (ex-showroom), the Apache RTR 160 is the entry point into the brand’s Apache RTR range of street motorcycles. Despite the design being on sale for a long time, the RTR 160 has managed to stand its ground pretty well since it is still competitive and looks quite modern. TVS has done a good job in subtly updating the bike’s design and adding features that kept it competitive.
The design has been kept the same with this new update, although the price has increased by around Rs 4,000. The two colours of the Apache RTR 160 are as follows – Matte Black and Pearl White. Both these colour schemes come with Red alloy wheels as standard.

The Key highlight of this update is that the new Apache RTR 160 has now been updated with dual-channel ABS for the first time. Upside-Down (USD) Front Forks were also expected with this update, but TVS decided to retain the suspension from the previous model, which features RSU telescopic front forks and rear twin shock absorbers.
The 2025 TVS Apache RTR 160 is powered by a 159.7 cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine that produces 16.04 PS of peak power and 13.85 Nm of peak torque, mated to a 5-speed transmission. This motor is now updated to meet BS6 P2 OBD-2B emission standard.
As for features, the Apache RTR 160 retains the same set of features, such as LED headlight with LED DRLs and a fully digital instrument console that shows lots of useful information. Furthermore, the higher variants get Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation features as well.

The Apache RTR 160 continues to be a popular name in its segment, and with continuous feature updates from TVS, such as Ride Modes, Dual-channel ABS and a fully digital console with SmartXonnect with Voice Assist, the bike continues to meet rider expectations.
