There’s always criticism and feedback from customers when a new two-wheeler is launched, no matter how big or small it is. The brand usually keeps the changes for a future update, which kind of leaves the customer in a “Take it or leave it” situation. Not Bajaj, though, since the brand just updated its flagship Pulsar NS400Z with better components according to customer feedback, without waiting for the next generation.

This is a good move by Bajaj since the brand has committed to serving motorcycling enthusiasts with a well-engineered machine, and it reflects the kind of dedication and importance the brand has towards its customers. This update addresses some of the major setbacks that buyers have expressed regarding the NS400Z.

Firstly, the tyres have changed. The brand upsized the rear tyre from a 140-section unit to a 150-section unit for better grip between the tyre and the road surface. The tyres are now Apollo Alpha H1, which is Apollo’s top tyre tyres. Overall, the changes in tyre will not only ensure better grip and traction on road, but also enhances the overall muscularity of the bike.

Another notable change is the new sintered brake pads over the previously used organic ones, which will offer better stopping power and improved feel at the levers. At launch, the Pulsar NS400Z was criticised for its mediocre brakes that often failed to provide enough stopping power to such a powerful bike.

The motorcycle was criticised for both the handling and braking performance, which the brand is fixing with the 2025 update for the NS400Z, making it more appealing to potential buyers who were earlier in a dilemma.

These changes are obviously not visible on first glance because the graphics and design of the bike have been retained, which looks cool and follows the Pulsar streetfighter design language. Other components, apart from the above-mentioned, have also been carried over with the new model.

Bajaj also updated the 373cc engine to make it BS6 P2 OBD2B compliant with the MY25 update. The changes bring a premium of Rs 8,000 over the previous price tag of Rs 1.83 Lakh (ex-showroom).
