The BMW CE 02 electric scooter is going to launch real soon given its been spotted yet again during testing. The scooter has been spotted several times before and this time the seemingly production-ready test mule was spied near Bengaluru.
BMW CE 02 – Highlights
If we go by design, the CE 02 is pretty simple and small, smaller than a full size scooter. It looks like a maxi scooter without the extra beefed up body. However, history taught us over and over to not judge a book by its cover and its true for this little guy right here. It comes loaded with modern features such all LED Illumination, a reverse gear, a USB charging port, a 3.5-inch TFT screen, keyless operation, a reverse gear and more.
Talking about specs, the scooter sports USD forks at the front and adjustable shocks at the rear. Braking is handled by a 239 mm front and 220 mm rear discs. Both of these are mounted on 14-inch wheels that are wrapped in 120/80 and 150/70 section tyres.
The BMW CE 02 is powered by a 2kWh battery which comes with a single and dual battery setup options. This also means the scooter gets two range options – a 45km and a 90km of range.
Although no information is available on the price of the e-scooter, the BMW CE02 roughly falls in the price range of USD 7,599 (Rs 6.2 lakh) to USD 8,474 (Rs 7 lakh), so expect this two-wheeler to come with a lower or similar price tag since it will be produced in TVS’s Hosur manufacturing plant.
