The Bajaj Pulsar 220F, the iconic bike once dubbed the “Fastest Indian” has a cult-like following in India. I mean the bike was such a success that when it was discontinued and replaced by the all-new Pulsar 250F the brand had to bring it back from the dead last year due to such a high demand. Interestingly, the 220F continues to be one of the brand’s highest-selling Pulsar models despite being more than a decade old.
Now, along with all the other models, the Pulsar 220F has also been updated and the new model has been spotted at a dealership ahead of its official launch.
2024 Bajaj Pulsar 220F – Highlights
The new model can be spotted with new graphics that feature “220” on the sides, similar to the updated Pulsar N250. The biggest change on this bike however is the addition of a fully digital LCD instrument cluster, which replaces the old-school semi-digital analog display. The unit is similar to the one that comes with the Pulsar N160 and also supports Bluetooth Connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation.
The LCD unit also gets a new set of switchgear which helps it toggle through the new screen’s features. Bajaj has also added a USB charging port right next to the screen in case the rider wish to mount their device and charge it, increasing the practicality of the bike. These updates however come with a slightly increased price of Rs 2,500.
Apart from that, there seem to be no other mechanical changes to the Pulsar 220F and the bike continues to be powered by the same 220cc air/oil-cooled engine that churns out 20.4 hp and 18.5 Nm of Torque. This motor comes paired with a 5-speed gearbox.
