Hero MotorCorp is all set to debut a 125cc sporty commuter on January 23. This reveal will also mark the brand’s official debut in the premium and sporty 125cc commuter segment, although the bike is expected to make its debut under a new brand.
The motorbike was spotted testing in Rajasthan a few months ago as a camouflaged test mule which revealed some design elements. The overall design language of the bike is quite muscular with a sharp headlamp and fuel tank to give it an aggressive look and solid road presence. The rear section is also sporty.
Apart from this, the bike looks how you expect a 125cc sporty commuter to look like. There’s a chance the bike might be heavily inspired by the bigger Xtreme 160, which isn’t a bad thing. The test mule also seems to be fitted with telescopic forks at the front, with a rear drum brake and full LED lighting.
As of now, there’s not really any information on the bike regarding its features and performance. As a result, it’s still a mystery whether Hero will be using its 125cc engine on this bike, which will be revealed at the time of launch on January 23. The bike is obviously designed to target the youth of the country and since it’s a Hero, the pricing will likely be aggressive enough to give other segment competitors like TVS Raider 125 a tough competition.
