The 2024 KTM 390 Adventure has finally been spotted in India after it was spotted earlier on foreign roads during its test runs. The 390 Adventure is much awaited in India courtesy of the new 399 cc engine in the new KTM 390 Duke.
KTM 390 Adventure – Design and Features
Design-wise, the New KTM 390 Adventure looks very tall, and slim and has a proper ADV bike stance now. The bike has an aggressive appearance, which is quite common among KTM models nowadays. The 390 Adventure looks like a scaled-down version of the 790, 890 and 1290 adventures, albeit in a good way. Overall, the semi-fairing, high-set front fender, sleeker tail portion and the overall stance of the bike add to its practicality as a proper off-roading touring machine now, which is missing in the ongoing model.
As for features, the 390 Adventure will sport an inverted fork and a monoshock. There’s also an axial front brake caliper instead of a radial one, but it is possibly used for testing. The bike is expected to share some of the features with the 390 Duke such as the updated TFT console which will come with cruise control, and turn-by-turn navigation, which actually makes sense since it’s an adventure tourer.
KTM 390 Adventure – Specs and Powertrain
The 390 Adventure appears to share its main trellis frame with the new KTM 390 Duke, however, while the Duke uses a cast aluminium subframe, the 390 Adventure features a square-section tubular frame.
In terms of engine, The new KTM 390 Adventure will be powered by the new 399 cc, liquid-cooled unit that is used on the new KTM 390 Duke which churns out 45.3 bhp at 8,500 RPM and 39 Nm at 6,500 RPM.
KTM 390 Adventure – Launch and Expected Price
The new 390 Adventure is expected to be globally revealed later at the EICMA 2024, soon followed by the India launch. Currently, the 390 Adventure comes with a price tag of Rs 3,38,746 (ex-showroom), so the updated model will likely begin from Rs 3.5 – 3.7 lakh (ex-showroom).
Once it hits the showrooms, the bike will compete with the likes of the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 and the upcoming Hero XPulse 400.
