Bajaj Pulsar NS400 Spotted Without Disguise Ahead Of Launch

Just days prior to the big launch of the biggest Pulsar yet on May 3, the new Bajaj Pulsar NS400 has been spied on without camouflage. The change in this new pulsar sets it apart from its smaller existing siblings although it does have some similar elements to the existing Pulsar NS and N designs.

So, the key change here is the new unique headlamp with a single projector similar to the N series and an oversized lighting bolt-styled LED DRLs on either side similar to the newer NS DRLs. The other change is the new tank extensions and radiator shrouds, which look quite unique too.

It is now clear that the NS400 will feature the same 373cc engine from the Bajaj Dominar 400 and will not be using the newer and more powerful 399cc unit from the KTM or Triumph. But the Dominar engine is still plenty powerful and capable engine and will do wonders with the lighter body of a naked streetfighter. Expect to see output numbers of the motor similar to the Dominar which is 40 hp and 35 Nm with minor tweaks in tuning or sprocket sizes.

The rear of the bike appears more or less same as the Pulsar NS200 including the entire tail section and the split-seat setup. This bike also uses a simpler steel box section swingarm rather than Dominar’s aluminium unit to keep prices low, but despite that, Bajaj has added several features such as adjustable brakes, clutch levers and also the new digital display from the updated Pulsars with switchable ABS and Bluetooth connectivity.
