The upcoming Royal Enfield Scram 650 and Classic 650 were recently spotted side by side during test runs ahead of the official launch. The 650cc lineup of the iconic bullet-maker was joined by Shotgun 650 and will be further expanded upon the launch of the Scram and Classic 650s.

Royal Enfield launched the Shotgun 650 as the first product under the 4 motorcycles per year strategy with 3 more to go for 2024. While one is possibly the Scram 450, which is a smaller version of the new Himalayan 450, the other two might include both 350cc and 650cc models.
Coming to the design, the Classic 650 looks very much similar to the smaller 350 which is okay considering the current classic 350 has a timeless and elegant appeal. On the other hand, the Scram 650 looks like a more rugged and beefed-up version of the Interceptor.
Interestingly, although very much related to the Interceptor 650 when it comes to the design and frame, the Scram 650 when launched will become the most feature-loaded and lightest 650cc Royal Enfield ever. Some features and specs include premium offerings such as the USD front forks, black engine bay and the company’s new Tipper Dash Screen.
On the other hand, the Classic gets its inspiration from the Super Meteor 650, however, the Classic will likely join the lower-level 650cc bikes with an old-school instrument cluster, RSU telescopic front forks, silver engine bay and more.
With the design and equipment, it is easy to differentiate the two motorcycles from different umbrellas. The Scram is under the Interceptor 650 and Continental 650 while the Classic is under the Super Meteor 650 umbrella.
Apart from this, the Scram gets a single-sided exhaust unlike the Interceptor and knobby tyres while the Classic 650 goes full mayhem to get that old-school charm. Both bikes will come equipped with the same 648cc parallel-twin engine that generates 47 bhp of peak power and 52 Nm of peak Torque. This unit is mated to a 6-speed gearbox and a slipper clutch. Tuning might be different on both bikes to suit their character.
