The AMGs that we will launch here are the Mercedes AMG S 63 e-performance and the C 63 S e-performance. Both of them were first revealed in late 2022 and are based on their respective new-gen counterparts, also sporting technology in their hybrid systems, which is claimed to be taken from Formula 1 (Considering Mercedes is one of the best teams in F1 right now, the tech has to be one of the best in the market). Due to this, the C 63 e-performance has an overall output of 680 hp and 1,020 Nm of Torque, coming from a 476 hp, 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine and a 204 hp electric motor, powered by a 6.1 kWh battery.

On the other hand, the S 63 e-performance sports an updated twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre V8 petrol engine along with a rear-axle-mounted asynchronous electric motor which is powered by a 13.1 kWh lithium-ion battery. In case you think the C 63 is powerful enough, the S 63 takes it up a notch with a total output of 802 hp and 1,430 Nm of Torque. It’s basically more powerful than a Formula 2 car while still being road-legal.

Both the models get the typical AMG-specific design elements both inside and out including Aerodynamics and an infotainment system. Both of these cars also come with a 9-speed automatic and 4Matic+ AWD system. Apart from these two, Mercedes will also introduce two more models in that segment before June 2024.

Santosh Iyer, MD and CEO of Mercedes-Benz India also stated at a media conference that the launch of the all-new E-Class will take place before 2024 ends. He further adds that since the new E-class will arrive only by the end of this year, the lineup might lack an E-class for some time.

Furthermore, the brand also plans to debut 3 new EVs during the year, one of which is expected to be the Maybach EQS.
