Kia reveals New Carnival facelift design

After the spy shots leaked the exterior design, Kia has now officially revealed the updated looks of the Carnival facelift which is based on the Kia KA4 that was shown at the Auto Expo in India this year.

Though based in the KA4, the carnival facelift in terms of looks says goodbye to the former and gets a more upright nose and L-shaped headlamps with DRLs and a wide grille. The grille further gets chrome bits and the bumper is surrounded by a faux brushed aluminum skid plate.

Coming to the back, the MPV get L-shaped headlamps, the same as the front and an LED light bar connects them. The rear bumper gets a matte black and Chrome mixture. The alloy wheel design is identical to the ones in the newer Kia models such as the EV9 and EV5, which are born EVs.

As for the updated powertrain, there will be two petrol and one diesel engine that will be on sale. The updated Carnival will feature the 1.6-litre turbo petrol hybrid engine, a naturally aspirated 3.5-litre V6 petrol and a 2.2-litre diesel engine.

There are more details that are yet to be revealed for the Kia Carnival facelift such as the interior details which are still under wraps. But there’s talk about the Carnival getting new-look seats with multiple seating layouts on offer, and new and updated technology from the EV9 such as twin curved displays for infotainment and instrumentation. The higher variants will get sunroof options too. As for safety, the MPV will get features such as ADAS.

Now Kia has fortunately confirmed that this facelift will come to India next year along with its EV9 flagship EV sibling. Apart from this, the updated Sonet is also set to launch in the upcoming months. The Carnival facelift is expected to arrive in Indian shores by 2024.
