2024 Suzuki Swift Tokyo break cover

The all-new 2024 Suzuki Swift finally breaks cover at the Tokyo Motor Show 2023 after it was teased via pictures earlier this month and is the fourth-gen of the popular hatchback. The car looks production-ready, though Suzuki still calls it a concept.

2024 Suzuki Swift – What’s new?

Let’s talk about the main and probably the most exciting highlight of this update. The new Swift will come equipped with ADAS features, which will buff up the safety aspect of this hatchback. But it’s yet to be seen if the new Maruti Swift in India will get ADAS or not, but if it does get it, expect the price to go much higher too.  Currently, no cars in the Maruti Suzuki line-up provide ADAS so it’s the Swift may also create history.

Exterior design-wise, the car follows its predecessor and has almost the same design except for some tweaks here and there. The nose is flatter with sharper and sportier headlamps, LED DRLs with a projector setup which is identical to the older variants, restyled grille which is larger now with a gloss black and chrome finish. The front bumper also gets some cuts and creases and the logo which used to be placed on the grille’s center, is now placed above it.

The side profile also features a line that runs across the side and merges with the headlamps. The rear doors have also been changed and now the handles are placed in a better position than before, making it more convenient to operate. On the back, the Swift gets a bumper and tailgate update and is more angular now.

Inside, the car shares several elements with the current Baleno and Fronx such as the steering wheel design, HVAC switches, free-standing infotainment system and more.

There are more details yet to be revealed on the new Swift soon such as the powertrain and price, but expect both of them to change. While the former might stay the same, the latter will change and only increase, since the new Swift will come with several new upgrades in terms of looks, features and safety. In India, the hatchback is confirmed to continue with the pure petrol powertrain.
