Mahindra has teased the facelifted XUV300 called the XUV 3X0 again, also confirming that the upcoming C-SUV will get a major upgrade in features. This is the third teaser Mahindra has released of the 3XO and this time highlights the technological updates of the facelift.
The XUV300 already had the dual-zone climate control as a segment-first feature, which will be carried over in the 3XO along with the addition of a panoramic sunroof, as seen in the second teaser. The new teaser shows a smartphone being used to control 3XO’s AC system remotely. Although the remote functions on the Mahindra compact SUV are not new thanks to the BlueSense app for this, now the brand has a new Adrenox Connect app for the same functions. This new app can also be used to use other remote functions like infotainment control, door unlock/lock and other diagnostic tools.
Previously, the XUV 3XO test mules confirmed that it will come with features seen on the updated XUV400 EV, including the dual 10.25-inch screens for the infotainment system and digital instrument cluster. However, it is still unknown whether the 3XO will get ADAS, and if it does, the SUV will join its fellow competitors Kia Sonet and Hyundai Venue in getting this safety feature.
The XUV 3X0 will retain the same 3 engine options of the XUV300 – the 110 hp, 1.2-litre turbo-petrol, the 131 hp, 1.2-litre direct-injection turbo-petrol and the 117 hp, 1.5-litre diesel engine. An Aisin-sourced 6-speed Torque converter automatic and a manual gearbox with the 131 hp petrol unit while the other 2 will be paired with 6-speed manual and AMT gearboxes.
With several upgrades in terms of styling and features, the XUV 3XO will be priced a bit higher than the XUV300 which is reasonable. The 3XO will launch on April 29.
