Kawasaki recently unveils the 2026 KLX 230 Sherpa S and DLX variants globally. The brand currently sells the standard KLX in India.
Both the variants are based on the standard KLX 230 that is sold in India and boasts several changes over the India-spec model.
This variant is more accessible with a seat height of 825.5mm. It has a 37mm telescopic front forks & Uni-Trak rear monoshock with a ground clearance of 213.3mm.
The DF is more off-road focused with a higher ground clearance of 238.7mm, more suspension travel at both ends & a seat height of 845.8mm. There's also protection added for engine & a small luggage rack.
The main chassis of both variants are identical steel perimeter frame. The braking is handled by a front & rear discs with dual-channel ABS for both.
Both variants share the same 233cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine that generates 17.8bhp/18.3Nm, paired to a 6-speed gearbox.
