Jamshedpur

Established in 1945, The Jamshedpur plant is spread over an area of 822 acres and is the brand’s first manufacturing unit. This plant’s engine factory looks after the in-house manufacture of Tata 697/497 Naturally Aspirated and Turbo Charged engines.

Pune

The Pune manufacturing unit was established in 1966 and covers two geographical regions – Chinchwad (130 acres) and Pimpri (800 acres). This plant has a production engineering division with one of the most versatile tool-making facilities in this region.

Sanand

This is the newest car manufacturing facility of Tata Motors and produces popular models like the Tigor sedan and Tiago hatchback. It initially started to produce Nano but now produces the above-mentioned cars and even reached 100% capacity utilization in 2018. The facility recently rolled out its 1 millionth car in 2024.

Pantnagar

Located in Uttrakhand, this plant was commissioned in 2008 and is spread over a total area of 18,400 sq m. The facility is one of the key manufacturing plants of Tata Motors and produces small commercial vehicles like the Tata Ace and Magic. The plant also meets the benchmark for global best practices and quality control.

Dharwad

The Dharwad manufacturing plant in Karnataka is the production house for Tata’s Marcopolo. The state-of-the-art production facility takes care of India’s need for completely built cars for inner-city and intra-city travel with comfort, safety and quality. Furthermore, this plant also produces a huge list of buses like the Starbus range and caters to the production of fully built bases for the International markets.

Lucknow

Established in 1992, Tata Motors Lucknow is one of the youngest production facilities of the company and was set up to fulfil the demand for Commercial vehicles in India. The plant is also backed strongly by an Engineering Research centre and service system to support and cater to the complexities of automobile makers with the latest tech. The plant also produces commercial vehicles and is an expert in the design and manufacture of a range of modern buses as well as chassis including ultra-low floor/ low floor, CNG and rear-engine bases.
