Suzuki Hustler
The Hustler is a very unconventional car since it’s a mini-SUV. You don’t see these types of cars, especially SUVs in India because it’s designed for the Japanese market’s Kei car segment, which are essentially small compact cars. The Hustler is identical and built on the same platform as the Wagon R but has more interior space. Design-wise too, the car has a retro-compact car look. Under the hood, it has a 660cc unit with a turbocharger option. Suzuki currently has no plans to launch this automobile in India.
Suzuki Spacia
Suzuki Spacia is a Kei mini wagon that has rear sliding doors for smooth entry and exit. It features a 658cc engine that produces 52 PS and even a 4WD option. The carmaker has made a lot of attention to detail on its design and performance.
Suzuki Ignis
Talking about 4WD, did you know Ignis has a 4WD option? The global version of this compact mild-hybrid SUV gets a 4WD and also got the “Most Reliable City Car” title back in January. The Ignis is powered by a 1.25-litre engine which produces 83hp and honestly this variant should be brought to India.
Suzuki Solio and Bandit
The Solio was actually a Wagon R initially designed for Japan and was later renamed the Wagon R – Solio. Later, it became the Solio. This compact MPV was spied in India back in 2020 and is expected to launch here soon. The car sports a 1.2-litre hybrid engine.
The Bandit or Bandit Solio is the sportier sister of the Solio because it looks the same but the former is a bit more stylish. The car has the same powertrain and system, which promises great fuel efficiency.
Suzuki Swift Sport
Suzuki Swift has always been a popular choice among the youth and family-people alike due to its reliability, sporty looks, and performance. Well, in terms of performance, the Swift’s “Sport” variant has made a lot of buzz in the global market and is often called the “pocket rocket”. The car is powered by a 1.4-litre BoosterJet turbocharged petrol engine that produces a good 140Hp. This variant also takes the already sporty Swift and makes it sportier and safer, making it a well-crafted car. The car is expected to launch in India soon and hopefully gets the same engine as the global one, which is very doubtful.

The Jimny, which was once known as the iconic Sierra, was earlier only available for Japanese and International markets like Africa, and Australia. However, since India’s SUV segment was on the rise and cars like Thar were getting the attention, Maruti Suzuki said “Why not?” and challenged the Thar by finally bringing their awaited mini 4×4 SUV. The Jimny may look small, but it has great off-road capabilities and a good on-road presence with spacious interiors. It is powered by a 1.5-litre engine, that produces 104Hp. Maruti Suzuki also launched the 5-door variant recently which will be a India’s first product before going abroad.
Maruti Suzuki Baleno
The Baleno is one of the well-loved hatchbacks in India due to its great comfort, reliability, and design. The car is also being exported outside India in countries like South Africa. Well, there isn’t much difference between India’s Baleno and Africa’s Baleno, except one thing. Under the hood, the African Baleno sports a 105hp,1.5-litre engine which is a bit outdated but more powerful than the 90hp, 1.2-litre DualJet engine that we get in India. This variant may be brought to India as the Baleno Rs, but considering Suzuki Swift Sport may also launch, the Baleno Rs launch is highly unlikely.
Maruti Suzuki Fronx
Just like the Baleno, its SUV version also gets exported to Africa and other international markets. Both are identical except for some minor cosmetic changes like a special color option. The Fronx also gets a 1.5-litre engine in Africa which produces 104hp, while both the India Fronx’s 1.2-litre petrol and 1.0-litre turbo petrol produces a lower 89hp and 99hp. Maruti Suzuki should introduce this variant soon in India since SUV fans look for performance.
Maruti Suzuki Brezza
Just like its predecessor Vitara Brezza, the Brezza is also exported in global markets and even emerged as the most demanding car outside India back in 2022 with record sales of 6,267 units in a month. The Brezza isn’t much different in the global markets and also has the same fuel-efficient 1.5-litre Dual Jet engine with mild-hybrid.
Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara

The Grand Vitara is the recent one to join Maruti Suzuki’s export list. The SUV is exported to the Middle East, South American, and African countries. The SUV outside India gets two variants – One with a 103hp, 1.5-litre mild-hybrid engine and another with a 115hp, strong-hybrid option.
Maruti Suzuki Dzire
The Dzire, which is still known as the Swift Sedan in Colombia and Guatemala has similar features and looks, both in India and Abroad. The Dzire is equipped with a 1.2-litre K12N Dual jet engine which produces 83 – 90hp, depending on the transmission.
Maruti Suzuki S-presso
Lord S-presso is also in the roster of Maruti Suzuki’s export vehicles and is sold in international markets like the Philippines and African countries. The car too has no differences between Indian and global variants in terms of looks, interiors, and performance.
Maruti Suzuki Alto
The Alto has been an iconic car in the Indian market because of its size, simplistic looks, and the nostalgia and emotions of millions of people. The car has an updated, more boxy design in the brand’s home market, Japan.
