Maruti Suzuki will launch these expected SUVs in the upcoming year 2024. With the Indian audience focusing more on SUV than other segments, the company is keen on launching new SUVs in India. Brezza, Jimny has already proved success for the carmaker. Maruti Suzuki has been the Top G of the Indian automotive industry for quite some time. It’s been the people’s choice for years now and the brand has no intentions of letting other brands take over their position. So, this time there are not 3 or 4 but 5 upcoming SUVs from Maruti Suzuki that you consider as your next car.

Maruti Suzuki S-cross 2024

The S-cross is discontinued by Maruti as of now but it is expected to come back in 2024, given its demand and popularity. The cost is likely to be between Rs 10 lakh and Rs 15 lakh (ex-showroom). The SUV could come in two engine-transmission options: 1.4L mild-hybrid with 6-speed MT transmission and 1.4L mild-hybrid with 6-speed TC transmission. The mileage is likely to be between 20.41 kmpl – 21.28 kmpl.

Maruti Suzuki Jimny EV

Though no date has been provided yet, the electric Jimny is expected to be launched by 2025. It will likely get a dual-electric motor setup with AWD. There’s no info on the battery range but to match the competition, it will get a driving range of 300-400 km. Since it’s also an EV, there’s a chance of change in the design language as we see normally on EVs. The pricing is expected to start from Rs 17 lakhs (ex-showroom), but again there’s no official confirmation. When launched the SUV is likely to be a competitor to the Tata Harrier EV.

Maruti Suzuki EVX

This upcoming 5 seater electric SUV is expected to launch by 2025 and will likely sport a 60 kWh battery with a driving range of 550 km. The new SUV would be over 4.2m long and have a 2.7m wheelbase and will be the starting point of the brand’s EV journey. The interior space will be intentionally large due to no engine and transmission. The expected price range of this EV is between 20 lakhs – 25 lakhs (ex-showroom).

2024 Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara

This already popular is getting an upgraded variant in 2024 which is likely to be a 7-inches larger model than the current one and a larger ground clearance. The SUV is also expected to be more luxurious and will carry more tech than the current Vitara. Under the hood will be a hybrid system. A 1.5-litre four-cylinder engine is likely to come, mated with an electric motor. The price is expected to be in the range of 12 lakhs to 18 lakhs(ex-showroom).

7-seater Grand Vitara

That’s not exactly the name of this upcoming SUV, but it is a version of the Grand Vitara that comes with a third row. The car will debut in 2025 and will take on the likes of Mahindra 700 and Tata Safari. The car will get some minor cosmetic changes to differentiate it from the current flagship, the Grand Vitara. Also, the wheelbase of the car will be larger than the outgoing Grand Vitara to accommodate the extra new seats. The price is not disclosed yet.
