Czech Car Manufacturer Skoda recently teased the 2024 Octavia Facelift ahead of its global debut in the coming weeks through a teaser video of the upcoming facelifted Octavia. This will be the first mid-life update of the 4th Gen Octavia which was launched in 2020.
New Skoda Octavia Facelift Teased Ahead of Debut
The teaser video essentially provides a sneak peek into the updated styling of the new Octavia facelift. The sedan will get a new set of sleek LED headlights, revised DRLs and revised bumpers on both ends. The grille might have been updated but for now, it looks unchanged. Although the overall design of the 4th Gen will likely be retained, it won’t be wrong to expect a new design for the alloy wheels as hinted by the teaser. At the rear of the sedan, we can see a new set of LED tail lights with minor tweaks to the body panels.
Diving Inside, the updated Octavia will get a new colour scheme along with updated upholstery. The facelifted model will also come with a larger infotainment system which is likely to be a 10-inch system along with a similarly sized fully digital driver’s display.
Other expected additions include features such as wireless connectivity with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and also a Level 2 ADAS to ensure enhanced safety. Although the sedan is expected to get some new features from the new-gen Superb and Kodiaq, the overall changes that will take place inside the car will likely be cosmetic, since it is a mid-life facelift after all.
Popping the hood of the Skoda Octavia Facelift we will likely get to see the same engine options as the 4th generation Octavia which are the 1.5-litre petrol engine and the 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine mated with a 7-speed DSG transmission. However, the sedan is also expected to sport a new engine option which turbocharged 1.0-litre 3-cylinder petrol unit from the updated Skoda Kamiq.
But that’s for the international market since it hasn’t been confirmed yet what powertrain options the Octavia Facelift will get in India. In fact, it is not even confirmed whether the facelifted sedan will make it here since Skoda has already discontinued the Octavia last year after it failed to comply with the BS6.2 emission norms.
Currently, the brand offers Slavia in the sedan segment and is also planning to launch the Enyaq EV SUV in the Indian Market, which was showcased at the 2024 Bharat Mobility Expo. Check out the Teaser of the upcoming Skoda Octavia Facelift below.
