Nissan launched India-made Magnite AMT in South Africa

Nissan India launched the AMT variant of the Magnite last month in the country at an introductory price of Rs 6,49,900 (ex-showroom). The Japanese automaker has now launched the same Made-In-India model in South Africa at a starting price of R234,900. The AMT version costs R16,000 over the manual variant and is offered in 3 trims – Visia, Acenta, and top-spec Acenta Plus.

Features-wise, the base Visia trim gets a 2-DIN audio system with Bluetooth connectivity, climate control, a multi-function steering wheel, 16-inch steel rims and power windows. The Acenta variant comes equipped with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment screen that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 16-inch alloys, cruise control, and a push start/stops button. Finally, the top-spec Acenta Plus variants get TPMS, LED headlamps and intelligent cruise control.

Coming to its heart, the car sports a 1.0-litre naturally aspirated 3-cylinder petrol mill that produces 71 hp of power and 96 Nm of Torque and comes with a 5-speed AMT gearbox. The car has an ARAI-certified 19.7 kmpl mileage.

Other features and Specs stay the same as the India-Spec along with the exterior and interior design. This is kind of similar to Maruti Suzuki’s plans to export their made-in-India EVX EV SUV worldwide. There’s a chance South Africa’s variant might get some additional packages but since it will be India-made, the chances are less.
