Maruti Suzuki Fronx Turbo Velocity Edition: Highlights
Before talking about what changes the Fronx Turbo Velocity Edition brings to the table in terms of design and features, let us see what value the customers get. So, the Fronx Turbo Velocity Edition gets 3 trims – Delta+, Zeta and Alpha.
Coming to the free accessories which are worth Rs 43,000, this Turbo Edition gets a total of 16 accessories which include an exterior styling kit, door visor premium, headlamp garnish, body side moulding, front and rear bumper painted garnish, illuminated door sill guard, rear spoiler extender, front grille garnish, wheel arch garnish, back door garnish and ORVM cover.
On the inside, The Fronx Turbo Velocity gets a red dash designer mat, Interior styling Kit (carbon Finish), NexCross Bordeaux Sleeve seat cover (alpha/Zeta), NexCross black finish seat cover (Delta+) and a 3D boot mat. Most of these accessories are the same across all the 3 variants.
Now the reason why the Maruti Fronx is so popular is its unique coupe-SUV style and sporty profile. The Turbo Vlocity edition takes this look and enhances it across both the exteriors and interiors and thanks to the free accessories, the SUV also feels more premium than before, giving potential customers a stronger reason to choose the Fronx Velocity edition.
Powering the Fronx turbo velocity edition is the 1.0-litre K-series Turbo Petrol engine that generates 100 PS of power and 147.6 Nm of torque. The unit comes paired with a 5-speed manual or 6-speed automatic. The second option is the 1.2-litre NA petrol that produces 89.73 PS and 113 Nm and comes with a 5AMT and 5MT.
There’s also a CNG option where the 1.2-litre mill generates 77.5 PS and 98.5 Nm and is paired to a 5-speed manual. Of course, the power may seem a bit less, but it all makes sense when you look at the mileage of each of the options. The Fuel efficiency of the 1.0-litre turbo petrol is 20.01 – 21.5 kmpl while the 1.2-litre NA petrol puts out 22.89 – 21.79 kmpl. The CNG has the highest mileage of 28.51 km/kg.
Apart from this, Maruti Suzuki has announced discounts and benefits for MY23 and MY24 models. The turbo variants are getting a cash discount of Rs 30,000 and an exchange bonus of Rs 10,000. If we also include the free accessories with Turbo Velocity edition we get total benefits worth Rs 83,000 with the MY23 models. After all the benefits and discounts, the price of the Fronx Turbo ranges from Rs 9.33 lakh – Rs 12.50 lakh.
Also, those choosing the MY23 model with the 1.2-litre petrol are eligible for a Rs 10,000 cash discount and exchange bonus of Rs 10,000. Moreover, the CNG and MY24 models are getting exchange bonuses worth Rs 10,000.
It also seems that Maruti Suzuki is trying to clear their name for being unsafe. Recently they shared a crash test video of the Fronx and assures the quality of their vehicles are top notch and tested, which also indicates that Maruti might be gearing up the Fronx to become the next contender in the Bharat NCAP.
