Lamborghini has recently revealed the new Huracan Super Trofeo Jota (STJ), which will be limited to just 10 units but there’s a rather sad twist here so be prepared to shed some tears. The Huracan STJ is the brand’s final V10-powered sportscar, and if it wasn’t enough, it marks the end of the production of the iconic Huracan series, which started way back in 2014. The model will be soon replaced by a new Hybrid sportscar later this year.
The Huracan STJ sports a dedicated aerodynamic package developed by the Lamborghini Squandra Corse technicians which helps it run around the Nardo Technical Center Handling Track one second quicker than the STO. The package includes two new carbon-fibre appendages and adjusts the angle of the rear spoiler by 3 degrees. Lambo states that the downforce has been improved by around 10 %.
Furthermore, a new set of race-derived, four-way adjustable shock absorbers have been fitted inside the car which allows increased stiffness and improved handling. The STJ also has this special Bridgestone Potenza racing tyres installed on 20-inch single-nut rims.
Design-wise, while the Huracan STJ is based on the STO, it’s available with two different configs and liveries. The first one is Grigio Telesto exterior paint which is basically grey, with a black roof, red and white trim and black Alcantara seats with red stitching. Meanwhile, the second design is a bright blue Blu Eliadi paint job that also has a black roof with red and white trim. Both the options come fitted with a unique plaque marked 1-10 to show off the model’s exclusivity (Get ready to see those cool Instagram Edits on the STJ in the coming days).
The Huracan STJ is powered by the same 5.2-litre, Naturally Aspirated V10 engine as the Huracan STO that generates 630 hp and 565 Nm of Torque. The unit is mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox powering the rear wheels.
Although the pricing of the Huracan STJ has not been revealed yet, it is expected to cost more than the STO which is currently priced at Rs 4.99 crore (ex-showroom, India). However, considering the exclusivity of the STJ to just 10 units, the sportscar is not expected to be launched in the Indian market.
Lambo Huracan has been the dream car of many people out there and has always been a popular series around the globe. But nothing lasts forever, so it is better to appreciate the great run Huracan enjoyed instead of being upset over its discontinuation.
