The Jeep Wrangler facelift is on its way to be launched in India on April 22, 2024. Revealed globally about a year ago, the facelifted Wrangler is finally coming to our market with an updated design and a comprehensive list of new features.
Talking about the exterior changes, the Wrangler facelift sports a blacked-out grille with the iconic seven-slat design being slimmer than the outgoing model. In foreign markets, the Wrangler is available with 10 different alloy wheel designs in the range of 17-20 inches and tyre sizes of up to 35 inches. It also gets multiple roof options which include the standard soft top, a black hard top, a body-coloured hard top, and a Sunrider top which is a combination of a hard and soft top and opens up for just the front passengers and a dual-door group with half doors.
The facelifted Wrangler also gets a new set of features which includes a new 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system in the center which is standard across all variants. The infotainment screen gets the Jeep’s Uconnect 5 system that brings connected features to the SUV like the Trails Offroad Guide, which has 62 well-known off-road trails incorporated into it.
The AC vents are now placed under the infotainment screen, but the rest of the cabin layout remains mostly the same. It also gets a 12-way power-adjustable front seats, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and a new semi-digital instrument cluster.
Currently, the India-spec pre-facelift Jeep Wrangler is powered by a 270 hp, 400 Nm, 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine which is paired with an 8-speed torque converter automatic and Jeep’s Selec-Trac full-time 4WD system as standard. The facelifted Wrangler will likely continue with this powertrain in India as the only option.
The Jeep Wrangler Facelift is currently available in 2 variants – Unlimited and Rubicon which are priced at Rs 62.65 lakh and Rs 66.65 lakh (ex-showroom). While there’s no direct rival for the Wrangler, it does face some competition from the Land Rover Defender.
