Nissan India has teased the upcoming X-Trail SUV yet again, confirming some new features. The 4th Gen Nissan X-Trail which has been on sale in foreign markets since 2021 will be brought to India as a CBU, which is needed since the brand only has Magnite C-SUV for sale in the country.
Nissan X-Trail Teased Again – Highlights
The new teaser confirms that the X-Trail will get an automatic gearbox mated to a 1.5-litre 3-cylinder turbo-petrol unit which was earlier confirmed to get a CVT transmission. Other confirmed specs include drive modes, an electronic parking brake with auto-hold function and cruise control through the buttons mounted on the 3-spoke steering wheel, which seems to come in a leatherette material finish.
Inside, the India-spec X-Trail will offer configs with up to 7 passengers with a bench seat in the 2nd row and 2 more seats in the 3rd row. Features like dual-pane sunroof, dual-zone climate control and a large infotainment touchscreen with physical toggles are also confirmed. Furthermore, the teaser also confirms a digital driver’s display, wireless smartphone charger, keyless entry and push-button start.
As the launch date approaches, we will get more information related to the Nissan X-Trail. The expected price range for the SUV is Rs 30 Lakh to 35 Lakh (ex-showroom), meaning it will take on the likes of Hyundai Tucson, Skoda Kodiaq, MG Gloster and Jeep Meridian.
