The famous Hyundai Creta lineup is all set the expand and welcome a facelift of their iconic car, the Creta along with the addition of the Creta EV which will take on the Maruti eVX. While the Creta facelift will debut in India next year, the EV will make its appearance in late 2024. However, some spy shots were leaked of the Creta EV in South Korea and it seems, the EV is different from the Creta facelift in terms of styling.
The Creta facelift will feature a split-headlamp design similar to the Venue, Exter and Palisade, however, the Creta EV’s design seems to be altered with two C-shaped DRLs on each side and they are bigger units than the ones on Creta. Although it’s wrapped test mule, there aren’t many design elements visible but it is the same to assume a closed-off grille and altered headlamps on the Creta EV.
Apart from the front, the body style of the Creta EV seems similar to the Creta facelift. But at the rear, expect some mild design tweaks to the horizontal tail lights and rear bumper to differentiate the EV from the facelift.
On the inside too, except for some EV-specific changes, the interior of the Creta EV will be similar to the facelift version. The EV prototype was spotted in India and sported a fully digital instrument console along with a repositioned gear lever which is now on the right side of the steering wheel column, similar to the Hyundai Ioniq 5 EV.
The Creta EV will likely make its way to India by the second half of next year as mentioned before and the price announcement is expected to take place in early 2025.
