Citroen C3 Aircross AT – Highlights

The new AT gearbox in the C3 Aircross is a 6-speed torque converter unit which is paired with the existing 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder turbo-petrol engine. The unit output remains unchanged at 110hp, however, the torque is now lower by 15Nm, at 205Nm. The gearbox also sports a manual mode and other features such as AC preconditioning and remote engine start functionality.

Interestingly this new transmission belongs to the same lineup of gearboxes used in the VW Taigun and Virtus, Skoda Slavia and Kushaq, and MG Astor as well. However, there are no visual differentiations like a badge to distinguish it from the manual variants.

Apart from this, there are no changes anywhere on the SUV and it continues to remain underwhelmingly equipped and missing out on features including ventilated seats, automatic climate control, wireless charging, a sunroof, Electric ORVMs and more, which are offered by most rivals and even budget cars.

But at its price, the C3 Aircross AT costs much less than all the entry-level Automatic rivals such as the Kia Seltos, MG Astor, Maruti Grand Vitara, Hyundai Creta and moreover also offer the practicality of 7 seats, which no other cars offer in this price segment.
