Mahindra has given the Scorpio N a features update, along with a hike in prices for all the variants of the SUV in 2024. Rather than the addition of new features, this update removes and replaces some features in the lower Z4 and mid-spec Z6 variants.
Mahindra has notified the dealerships that as part of the usual Integrated Material Cost Reduction (IMCR), the Z4 and Z6 trims will get some features removed such as a cooled glovebox and the Adrenox Connect feature and the built-in Alexa support from the infotainment system. Speaking of systems, the 7-inch colour TFT on the Z6 has now been replaced with the 4.2-inch monochrome MID that is being offered on the Z4 trim.
If you think the prices of the variants have been slashed alongside the features, you are wrong because the Scorpio Z4 and Z6 now cost Rs 34,000 and Rs 31,000 more. The Z4 trim is available in both petrol and diesel engine options paired with manual, automatic and even a 4WD option. Meanwhile, the Z6 continues to be offered in the single diesel manual and automatic form only.
Other than this, the Scorpio N remains unchanged in terms of specifications and design. This is not a surprise considering the brand announced the price hike last year, although the reduction of features was a bit unexpected, but necessary to battle inflation and keep the car models affordable.
