The 2024 Jeep Meridian test mule has recently been spotted in Bengaluru, India and it seems the company is preparing to add the ADAS System to the upcoming SUV. The test mule was spotted with ADAS sensors in the front, and since the test was conducted by Bosch, it’s possible the sensors will be sourced from Bosch.
Apart from the ADAS sensors in the lower half of the grille, there are no visible changes to the SUV. The Meridian competes against the likes of Toyota Fortuner and MG Gloster. Last year the brand launched the Jeep Meridian Overland, which gets a few cosmetic tweaks over the older one.
Coming to the outside of the Overland, the front sports the iconic 7-slat grille which is finished in Chrome while the rear has a spoiler and shark fin antenna. On the sides, the alloy wheels are wrapped in 235/55 section tyres. The overland also gets a new interior of dark brown and copper. The upper half of the dash gets a suede finish while the front seats get “Overland” stitched on them.
The engine of the Jeep Meridian will continue to be the same 2.0-litre diesel engine that churns out a max power of 168 bhp and a peak torque of 350 mm. The unit will be paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 9-speed torque converter automatic transmission and will be offered in both 4×2 and 4×4.
