After being spotted during test runs in South Korea, The Creta EV test mule was again spied in India and this time it seems to carry some of the all-new Creta facelift’s design cues under the cover.
Hyundai Creta EV Test Mule Details
This time the Creta EV seems to get the overall silhouette of the Creta facelift including headlights and tail lamps. However, like any EV, the Upcoming Creta Electric also have some unique design elements like the closed-off grille which would house the charging port to either its left or right, similar to the Konda Electric.
Apart from this, the upcoming EV will also get new aerodynamically efficient alloys as evident from the spy shots which will likely come in two options – 17-inch and 18-inch.
Coming to the Inside, the Creta EV will likely be similar to the ICE Creta Facelift, however, the EV will get some extra and unique features and design elements, likely inspired by the Ioniq 5.
Talking about the powertrain, the Creta EV will be powered by a 45kWh battery that will be developed by LG Chem, and this may prove to be a disadvantage compared to the upcoming Maruti eVX (48-60 kWh) and MG ZS EV (50.3 kWh) but given Creta’s fan following in India it isn’t a big problem. Moreover, the Creta EV’s battery will be a bigger unit than the Nexon’s 40.5 kWh long-range unit.
It is also expected that this upcoming EV’s motor will be shared with the latest-gen Kona EV which is currently on sale globally.
